A new blog site and hopefully a better one. I had some problems with Blogger. We’ll see how this one holds up!
On a seperate subject, I wanted to share with you some of the pictures from our trip Bluemont, VA to get a Christmas tree. We went to “The Great Country Farm”. It was a little different that the one we went to last year, “Snickers Gap Farm”. I have to say that I love thier country store and they have an are for little kids to see thier animals etc. But the one complaint I have is that they lack a good system of tracking the trees and purchases once you cut them down.
Here’s the senario: You drive to the area where they grow the trees, (away from the country store) and walk thru a mass of trees to choose from. Once you find the one you want, you cut it down and wait for the farm “help” to load it up on a tractor…full of other people’s trees. Here’s where my complaint is; they didn’t tag the trees. We had to follow the tractor back to the store and point out which was ours.
Anyway, overall it was a great experience. Again I love thier store but next year we’ll either go to Snickers Gap try a different farm.
